The figure shows the hardware abstraction layer which is divided into seven parts, which are given as follows: devices registers, devices addresses, interrupts, D M A, timers, spinlocks, and firmware. Note: One of the devices in the device addresses is labeled printer, and the DMA includes RAM and Disk.
