The figure consists of five layers. The first layer is labeled App processes which consists of three rectangular blocks, the first block is divided into two parts labeled appN and Dalvik, the second block is divided into two parts labeled app2 and Dalvik, and the third block is divided into two parts labeled app1 and Dalvik. The second layer is labeled System processes which consists of two rectangular blocks, the first block is divided into two parts labeled system server and Dalvik, and the second block is divided into two parts labeled phone and Dalvik. The third layer is labeled Daemons which consists of three rectangular blocks, the first block is labeled installed, the second block is labeled service manager, the third block is labeled adbd and the fourth block is divided into two parts labeled zygote and Dalvik. All Dalvik blocks are shaded. Five arrows are pointing from zygote block to all these Dalvik blocks. The fourth layer is consist of a rectangular block which is labeled init, four arrows are pointing from init block to the four blocks in the third layer. The fifth layer is consist of a rectangular block which is labeled Kernel, an arrow is pointing from the Kernel block to the init block.
