Figure (a) shows a vertical block labeled Process A, the top of the block is consist of a stack that is shaded and an arrow is pointed downwards from this stack and another arrow is pointed toward this stack and labeled Stack pointer. The middle of the block consists of a stack labeled Mapped file. The bottom of the block is consist of two stacks which are labeled BSS, data, and Text, and shaded Text is ranging from 0 to 8K, and Data and BSS is ranging from 8K to 20K. An arrow is pointed upwards from the BSS block. Figure (b) shows a vertical block labeled Physical memory which is divided into 23 stacks. The stacks 1,2, 8,9,10,11, 15,16,17,19 and 20 are shaded. An arrow is pointed towards the 12th stack and labeled Unused memory. Figure (c) shows a vertical block labeled Process B the top of the block is consist of a stack that is shaded and an arrow is pointed downwards from this stack and another arrow is pointed toward this stack and labeled Stack pointer. The middle of the block consists of a stack labeled Mapped file.
