We practice mindfulness and concentration to get Right View. Otherwise our view will not be in accord with reality—it will not have the wisdom of impermanence, nonself, nondiscrimination, and interbeing—and therefore our thinking, speech, and actions will produce suffering for ourselves and others. Until we can see clearly, our wrong perceptions will keep us from having Right View. Touching reality deeply is the way to liberate ourselves from wrong perceptions. When we have the foundation of Right View, every thought, word, and deed we produce can be in line with the insight of Right View. There are many practices of concentration that can help us cultivate Right View. Right View is the insight we have into the reality of life.
